Free calls, anywhere, thanks to gizmo + grandcentral
- Get a free gizmoproject.com account
- Note your Gizmo SIP number in the "about this account" (747-xxx-xxxx)
- Get a free grandcentral.com account
- In your grandcentral profile, add your Gizmo SIP number (select Gizmo from the popup)
- Add a grandcentral "contact" of someone you want to call
- Select "call them", using the Gizmo number.
- Answer the incoming (free) gizmo call
- Wait until you're connected via Gizmo to the destination
- Talk for free!
- ???
- Profit!
Looks like a collision of free services yields a very free result. Or maybe it's just that Grand Central is in beta, and eventually the outcall leg will be metered.
